Barrett, Flynn partner with church leaders for annual anti-violence meeting

MILWAUKEE -- Mayor Tom Barrett and Milwaukee Police Chief Ed Flynn will join local church leaders Tuesday to announce a week-long anti-violence initiative.

It's the 10th year for the Ceasefire Sabbath clergy breakfast and meeting, where city leaders team up with local faith leaders to address violence in the city.

Flynn will announce the Ceasefire Week agenda, which will include a gun buyback and community walk in May.

Thuesday's event will close with Barrett and other community members speaking on how churchgoers can support Ceasefire Sabbath weekend.

The program begins at 9 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church on 30th & Wisconsin Ave.

CBS 58's Marshanna Hester has a preview of Tuesday's event.
