Banjo, White among Packers cuts

GREEN BAY--The Green Bay Packers released their final cuts Saturday evening, trimming their roster down to 53 players by the NFL mandated deadline at 3:00 pm Central Standard Time.


Safety Chris Banjo was among those cut. Banjo appeared in all 16 games for the Packers in 2013. On offense, receiver Myles White was among the players cut. Justin Perillo was the only tight end cut.


The Packers placed defensive tackle Khyri Thornton, tight end Jake Stoneburner, tackle Aaron Adams and linebacker Nate Palmer on injured reserve, ending their respective seasons.
