Balloonfest Takes Place in Waterford

The sixth annual Balloonfest takes to the skies today in Racine County on Friday.

Gates opened at 4:00 PM and the balloons will be arriving in a couple of hours during opening ceremonies at 6.

Food vendors have already set up. There is a stage where all kinds of entertainers will perform this weekend. And the balloons as I said arrive a little later weather permitting.

Last year a balloon got loose because of some strong winds. No one was seriously injured but some cars and tents were damaged.

So they'll be watching wind closely but weather permitting this weekend you can come for a balloon ride or if you like to keep your feet on ten ground you can watch tomorrow's balloon competition Around 6 am and the glow balloon show each night around 8:30.
