Bail Reduction Denied for Soccer Referee

A soccer referee charged with sexually assaulting a teenage girl was back in a Waukesha courtroom today.

The attorney for 26-year-old Cristian Sanchez asked to have his bail lowered from $10,000, but the court denied the request. 

Sanchez, who twice was deported back to Mexico, remains behind bars tonight and returns to court for a hearing next week. 

According to the complaint, Sanchez made advances toward a 15-year-old girl he met at the Schuetze Rec Center in Waukesha where he worked as a soccer referee.
