Badgers explode in second half to punch ticket to conference tournament finals

Trailing by 5 at the half, Wisconsin went on a 10-0 run to open the second half, and then ran away with a decisive Big Ten Tournament semifinal win, 71-51 over Purdue Saturday in Chicago.

Wisconsin held Purdue to just 16 points after halftime, bouncing back nicely after allowing 35 to the Boilermakers in the first half.

Bronson Koenig's 19 points led the Badgers, who advance to the conference tournament title game against Michigan State. You can see that game on CBS 58 at 2:30 Sunday afternoon, followed by the NCAA Tournament Selection Show. Wisconsin still hopes to secure a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament, especially after losses by both Duke and Virginia in the ACC Tournament Friday.
