SOUTHEASTERN WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- Thousands of students across Southeastern Wisconsin headed back to school on Tuesday.
Celebrations were held at dozens of schools to mark the beginning of a new year.
At Nicolet High School in Glendale, a red carpet was laid out to welcome students. Teachers and staff lined the carpet and cheered students on as they walked into school.
Students at Milwaukee's Parkside School for the Arts were also greeted with a red carpet.
