BROOKFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Richard Sauer, a personal trainer at Life Time Brookfield, joined us on Monday, Aug. 25 to talk about wellness tips for the school year.
Sauer said families can benefit from planning healthy snacks such as fruit, yogurt, nuts and protein-rich foods like eggs or cottage cheese. Another tip was that preparing snacks in advance helps reduce reliance on processed options.
He recommended exercise as a way to manage stress and improve focus, suggesting short workouts, family walks or stretching breaks.
Consistent sleep schedules are also key, with limited screen time before bed to improve rest.
