Autopsy Performed after 2-Year-Old Dies from Bunk Bed Accident

The 2-year-old that was trapped between an upper bunk bed and the wall has died, according to the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner.

The death has been ruled an accident.

Kindell Roberts was found trapped by a family member on September 21.

On September 22, it was confirmed he was brain dead.

At the time of the accident, the 2-year-old’s mother was not at home. The child’s aunt was taking care of the 2-year-old.

Medical Examiner believes Kindell tried to climb down the back side of the bunk bed when he became entrapped.

The child’s mother wanted the autopsy performed because she did not believe the account she was told about how her son died.

According to the Medical Examiner, the mother had taken her five other children to school when the incident occurred.

She said there were no marks on her son’s neck and the stories were “not coherent.”

In addition, she said she had never seen her toddler climb to the top of the bunk bed.
