Authorities say 'suspicious device' at Waukesha County home is not dangerous

WAUKESHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Officials have determined that a "suspicious device" at a home in the Village of Eagle is not dangerous. 

Police say they responded to the call around 9:50 a.m. along with several other agencies. They say while "unusual in nature and appearance," the device appears to be a makeshift alarm system and they believe there was no criminal intent behind placing the device.

No criminal charges will be pursued at this time. 

The Village of Eagle Police Department will continue to investigate.

WAUKESHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Police are investigating a suspicious device at a home in the 200 block of East Main Street in the Village of Eagle.

The Milwaukee Police Department Hazardous Devices Unit, FBI, ATF, Waukesha County Sheriff Department and other local law enforcement and fire departments are assisting.

Authorities say this is a fluid scene and ask the public to remain out of the area until it is determined safe.
