Authorities investigate two-vehicle crash in Eagle River

EAGLE RIVER, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Vilas County Sheriff's Office is investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred Friday afternoon, Aug. 27, in Eagle River.

The Sheriff's office says the crash occurred at approximately 1:34 p.m. at the intersection of USH 45 & STH 17 in Eagle River.

Officials report that a Ford F150 which was travelling south on USH 45 and a Subaru Forester which was heading north on USH 45 collided head on.

The Vilas County Sheriff's Office said that the driver of the Subaru, a 36-year-old, was transported to Eagle River Memorial Hospital with severe injuries.

Authorities say the driver of the Ford, a 64-year-old, was also transported for minor injuries.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
