Attempted Armed Robbery in Fond du Lac

Fond du Lac Police responded to a report of an attempted armed robbery that occurred at a Fond du Lac Speedway Gas Station early Thursday morning. 

The incident happened at 550 W. Johnson Street at 1:21 A.M.

Responding officers were advised by an employee that a male entered Speedway and demanded cash from the register after he displayed a pocket knife. 

No money was turned over by staff, and the male suspect fled on foot out the front door and ran to the West.  

The area was searched with a Fond du Lac Police Department K-9 Unit, but the suspect was not located. 

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office also assisted in checking the area for the suspect.

The suspect is described as a black male, possibly 25-30 years old, thin build, about  5’10” to 6’1” tall, wearing a black over grey coat/fleece with black zipper, jeans and black facemask. 

No one was injured during this incident.
