AT&T adds new cell tower in Milwaukee, hopes to bring faster network

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- AT&T has added a new cell tower to its 4G LTE network in Milwaukee to give customers faster and more reliable wireless service.

According to a release, the new cell tower is located near Lapham and Layton.

“Thanks to this investment, Milwaukee residents and businesses can now enjoy faster mobile speeds than ever before on our 4G LTE network. We’re always working to provide better coverage, and we’re investing in our wireless network in Milwaukee and across Wisconsin to accomplish that,” said Scott VanderSanden, president of AT&T Wisconsin.

In 2017, AT&T made 418 enhancements to our networks in Wisconsin, including adding 25 new cell towers, expanding 4G LTE to 99 cell towers, and adding network capacity to 294 sites across Wisconsin.
