Artist hopes his new mural in Milwaukee's south side will inspire others

It isn't graffiti or vandalism, for Ramiro Sandoval it's his passion.

\"I like to do this, so why not here in Milwaukee.

This is something everybody can see,\" said Sandoval.

His latest project is a mural on 1622 W.Mitchell St. His hope is that the mural will inspire others, especially Latinos to stay out of trouble and take up a hobby like art.

Lenny Carrasco owns Valentino's By Lenny.

\"This guy asked if he could paint a mural on my wall and I told him yeah,\" said Carrasco.

Carrasco believes the mural on his building represents unity and overcoming adversity.

Ramiro says says he chose corn because it's a universal crop and he believes it symbolizes our past, present and future.
