Army officer's uniform earns him denied entry to daughter's school

ROCHESTER, MI -- A Rochester, Michigan father was denied entry to his daughter's high school, because he was wearing his army uniform. The father says he was told to go home and change out of his military uniform.

WJBK reports U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel Sherwood Baker went to his daughter's school to talk with her counselor, but a security guard at the school denied him entry. Baker was allegedly told by four different people the reason for his denied entry is that his military uniform may offend a student.

Baker says he was just going to speak with his daughter's counselor about her class schedule. WJBK says the district's superintendent is a veteran, and apologized to the Baker family for this incident.
