MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Archbishop Jerome Listecki has removed the obligation for Catholics to attend Sunday Mass for the next two weeks due to COVID-19 concerns.

The decision was posted on Facebook, Thursday, March 12.

According to the post, the dispensation will cover Sunday March 15, 22 and 29. The Archdiocese said parishioners can instead listen or watch Sunday Mass on the radio or TV.

The Church asks Catholics who choose to remain home to set aside time for prayer and reflection.
