Appleton police searching for driver who hit and seriously injured woman visiting cemetery

APPLETON, Wis. - (WFRV) Appleton police are asking for your help in a Riverview Cemetery hit and run.

On Monday evening, July 17, at approximately 8:00 P.M., a 43-year-old Neenah woman was visiting the Riverview Cemetery, 714 N. Owaissa Street in Appleton.

While on a cemetery road, the woman was struck by a car and significantly injured.

She sought treatment at a local hospital and was released.

The victim has minimal recollection of the incident due to her injuries.

The woman was alone in the cemetery and there were no calls from witnesses. The only information about a potential suspect vehicle is it may have contained a young couple and was likely a passenger car.
