Apartment Fire on Northwest Side

A fire broke out at an apartment complex on the 5100 block of North Lovers Lane earlier this morning.

The Milwaukee Fire Department responded to the two alarm fire with the help of the Wauwatosa Fire Department. While no one was hurt, two people did have to be rescued and one apartment unit is considered a total loss. 

Several other units suffered smoke and water damage. The apartment complex will remain closed while the investigation continues.

The cause of the fire does not appear to be suspicious.
