MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Free Mexican food for lunch!
Taqueria La Salsa handed out more than 160 free lunches on Tuesday, June 9, through a program called "Anthem Feeding Families."
Anthem Insurance teamed up with the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) and the restaurant to make the meals available during a time of need.
"Right now there's a lot of people without jobs and it's just any help to the community we're all for it," said Manager and Co-Owner of Taqueria La Salsa, Christian Jimenez.
There will be another free meals for families event next Tuesday, June 16.
