MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- From clothes to art, to toys and home decor. About two dozen vendors set up shop in the neighborhood's community garden on Saturday, Sept. 9.
This public space was built about 15 years ago, and the neighborhood association says it's trying to maximize the land, which is centered around the community garden.
"What we're doing is we're bringing the community together. It gives the neighborhood a place where they can meet each other, get involved in things," said Terry Witkowski, chairman of the Garden District Neighborhood Association.
The public square on the south side will be buzzing in the weeks to come.
Next week, there will be a flower sale. Halloween festivities are scheduled for next month.
