PORT WASHINGTON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- There's no bad season for a street festival in Wisconsin. But for those looking to sip hot apple cider while listening to music or checking out a car show with vibrant fall colors as the backdrop, Port Washington Fall Street Festival will have it all this weekend.

"Everybody wants a pumpkin in October," said Jon Goetz, a co-owner of Grappling Gardens, who will bring its patch the Franklin Street this Saturday for the festival. They're also providing all of the pumpkins for free pumpkin painting at the festival.

"It's kind of like October Christmas tree shopping. Pick out which pumpkin you want," said Goetz.

There will be nearly 140 vendors, three band-stand stages and a lot of family friendly activities.

In true Port Washington fashion, the event will be all about community.

"We have a bit of a local celebrity that works here, her name is Janet T," said Michael Ridgeway the owner at the Steerage and Big Baby Subs. "She is famous in Port Washington and around the area for her carrot cake and Janet is a breast cancer survivor."

For every piece of her carrot cake sold at the festival, and at Ridgeway's restaurants throughout October, one dollar will be donated to Know Your Lemons, a charity committed to breast cancer research.

The car show this year will feature a Formula One race car made by Port Washington High Schoolers.

"It's really a huge crowd. They shut down main street," said Goetz. "So, this is something that it's like a big deal, it's awesome to have its a big deal for us to be a part of Fall Street Festival like we are."

The festival starts at 11 a.m. and goes until 5 p.m. on Saturday.
