WAUKESHA--Lets face it, these cold months can keep many of you inside hibernating. But, as hard as it is for us to endure these temperatures, it's even harder for homeless animals.
In fact, in the winter the Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha County has a tough time finding homes for the animals in their shelter.
\"The winter weather does tend to affect how many come out looking for a dog. These years when we get these cold snaps and icy conditions, no one wants to go outside when its twenty degrees or colder,\" said Development Coordinator for the Human Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha County Jennifer Smieja.
