American Red Cross to host annual Day of Donations Blood Drive at Renaissance Milwaukee West Hotel

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- In an effort to support community health and wellness, the American Red Cross is hosting its 12th annual Day of Donations Blood Drive on Tuesday, Dec. 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Renaissance Milwaukee West Hotel.

The blood drive emphasizes the need for donations from all blood types, particularly type O and platelet donors. In recognition of their contribution, donors will receive a Red Cross long-sleeved T-shirt, subject to availability, along with coupons for a Bundtlet from Nothing Bundt Cakes and an appetizer from Texas Roadhouse in New Berlin.

To participate in the blood drive, appointments can be scheduled through the American Red Cross Blood Donor App, the RedCrossBlood.org website, or by calling (800) RED CROSS.

Donors are required to present a blood donor card or driver’s license, or two other forms of identification at check-in.
