Semi driver ejected after crashing into overpass on I-94 in Brookfield

BROOKFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- All lanes were blocked on I-94 EB due to a semi fire near US 18/Moreland Boulevard early Thursday, Oct. 7.
It happened around 5:30 a.m.
According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, the semi crashed into the US 18 overpass and the driver was ejected. The driver was transported to a hospital for treatment.
The incident remains under investigation.
Backups extended to Hwy 164. Drivers were advised to use Hwy 59 or US 18 as alternate routes.
