MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- With the holidays quickly approaching, Wisconsinites are in luck as there are plenty of unique treasures to give as gifts that are totally local!
Sarah Hagenow, Wisconsin's 78th Alice in Dairyland, joined us Friday, Nov. 28 to chat about Wisconsin-made products for holiday gift-giving through the "Something Special from Wisconsin" program.
Hagenow showcased several local products including Crack Nola granola from Oshkosh, Dairyland Ginseng products, Mr. Burns BBQ sauces, Fazio's Chocolate advent calendars and Crave Brothers Farmstead Cheese and more. All program members must certify that at least 50% of their production, ingredients or processing comes from or happens in Wisconsin.
One easy way to find products in stores that participate in the program is to look for the red and yellow "Something Special from Wisconsin" logo in stores.
