MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The man who said he plans to bring socialism back to City Hall was sworn in as Milwaukee's newest alderman Tuesday, April 22.
Alex Brower won the election early this month to fill the seat left vacant by the death of Jonathan Brostoff last year.
Tuesday, as he took his oath of office, he made his political affiliation crystal clear.
"Everyone who is fighting for socialism, all those 153 volunteers and the hundreds of members of the Milwaukee Democratic Socialists of America and everyone who describes themselves as a socialist or leftist in this city owns that seat," Brower said.
During his campaign, Alex Brower called for a complete change in the way City Hall operates and said his priority is housing justice.
