MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Rain or shine, organizers of the Milwaukee Air and Water Show say the show will go on this weekend.
Hundreds of thousands of people will pack the lakefront. There will be many exciting acts in the high energy show.
The main act this year are the United States Air Force Thunderbirds. Other talented performers include the U.S. Navy's Tactical Demonstration team and, also the U.S. Army Golden Knights.
"The best of the best, they have to have an incredible amount of time and experience to even apply for that job," said Herb Hunter, Air & Water Show announcer.
Over Saturday and Sunday, the show is expected to draw about 400,000 people, having a huge local economic impact.
"Because they're going to restaurants, they're shopping around town, they're patronizing around town. And if they don't live in Milwaukee, they're seeing what a spectacular place our lakefront is," said Chris Abele, Milwaukee County Executive.
Although you might have to bring your umbrella along, it seems you'll still catch an exciting show. "Even if it's raining they can still do the show, only issues are if it's a thunderstorm, they can't do it if it's really low cloud cover," Abele added.
The water show kicks off Saturday at 10 a.m.. The air show at 12 p.m. For more information, visit: https://milwaukeeairshow.com/schedule/
