JANSEVILLE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Some new neighbors are ruffling a few feathers in Janesville.
A group of aggressive turkeys are interrupting the peace and quiet of one neighborhood.
Especially for the mail men in town.
Wildlife experts say the behavior is common, with turkeys using aggressive behavior to assert their dominance. The best way to combat it?
Become the bigger bully.
"Making yourself look bigger," said Wildlife Biologist Jason Colter. "Either using your coat, having an umbrella on hand, a plastic black garbage bag that, you know, you can look like you're a giant turkey."
If neighbors stick to their guns and stand up to the furious flock, experts say they'll likely move on to a new area.
