Adoption fees waived for cats at Wis. Humane Society, MADACC in November

The Wisconsin Humane Society and MADACC have announced a joint promotion throughout the month of November with the goal of getting 600 cats adopted.

All cat and kitten adopters will go home with a free can of turkey-flavored cat food for their new companion, courtesy of General Pet Supply, and adoption fees for adult cats one year or older are entirely waived.

“Many families decide that this time of year is the perfect time to bring home a new family member. We want our animals to get the opportunity to be one of those lucky animals, and we are hoping to make that happen for 600 cats and kittens this November,” said Karen Sparapani, executive director at MADACC.

Although they are different organizations, WHS and MADACC experience similar peaks in animal intake, and know that working together on joint promotions helps to find homes for animals faster. More than 120 cats and kittens are available for adoption right now, as November is one of the busiest times of the year for area shelters.
