Adams County Sheriff's Office investigating after 11-year-old boy drowns

ADAMS COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Adams County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating the drowning death of an 11-year-old boy.

It happened on June 18 near the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Natural Area in the 4100 block of River Road. 

He has been identified as 11-year-old Jamison Owen Dean Miller of Grand Marsh.

According to the Sheriff's Office, efforts to recover his body have been unsuccessful.

The Adams County Sheriff's Office is being assisted by the Marathon County Sheriff's Office Dive Team, Wisconsin Dells Police Department, the DNR, and the Fort McCoy Fire Department.

No additional information is being released at this time.

Recovery efforts for the child's body have resumed.
