ACLU of Wisconsin calls for transparency in search for new Wauwatosa police chief

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The ACLU of Wisconsin is pushing for an open and inclusive process in the selection for the next Wauwatosa police chief.

The ACLU sent a letter to the Wauwatosa PFC after current police chief Barry Weber announced his retirement for later this year.

It wants a national search for a new police chief that's transparent through the whole process, including public interviews for the finalists, similar to what the Milwaukee Police Department has done.
