Accident on 94 W at Barker shuts down interstate for hours

All lanes of traffic on 94 W from Moreland Road to Barker Road were closed for over five hours Sunday morning.

The closure started at 6:00 AM when a semi-tractor trailer hit the barrier at Barker and sustained heavy damage.

Two other vehicles then struck the trailer of the semi.

The driver of semi was ejected, but authorities said that he did not appear to have any injuries.

The passenger of the semi was extricated and taken to Froedtert Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The drivers of the other two vehicles also had non-life threatening injuries.

The accident and its cause are under investigation by the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department.
