A 12-year-old Milwaukee boy is off on the trip of his dreams thanks to the Make-A-Wish people.
"Fun-loving, hysterical, you will be his friend whether you want to or not kind of kid."
Her son, Nathan Meech, has a critical seizure disorder. While he's 12-years-old, he functions at the level of a 4 to 5-year-old boy. He's fascinated with rescue heroes and today he boarded an Amtrak Train headed for New York where he'll meet police and become an honorary member of New York's Fire Department.
"He's a very expressive child and very easy to please so it's just gonna be absolutely beautiful seeing something as wonderful as this coming together."
Nathan's New York trip will also include a helicopter ride, a trip to the Empire State Building, and tickets to see the Lion King on Broadway.
