A Good Drink Coming from Mother Nature

We've been asking for it, and now it looks like it's coming . A good dousing of rain, starting late tonight, courtesy of a slow-moving cold front in from the Upper Midwest.  But first things first.  The intense heat and humidity will be the real talker today.  The "real feel" deal will be around 100.  The actual high temperatures will be in the low 90s. So drink lots of water and keep the pets inside if possible.  Obviously run the A/C too.

Then we shift our attention to the storms.  Several rounds are possible, starting late tonight into the overnight.  Then another two rounds.  One around lunch and the other close to dinner time.  There could even be more during Wednesday evening.  Rainfall amounts could easily add up to more than three inches in spots.

In fact, we have a Flood Watch just north and west of us through Wednesday itself.  Some of our storms, by the way, could be strong to severe.

We start to dry out on Thursday only to have another system affect us on Friday.  But the weekend as a whole is looking very nice with highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s and 60s.

Again, make sure to download the free CBS58 weather app, especially with this latest round of storms approaching.
