A "breath of fresh air" is coming courtesy of Mother Nature

Milwaukee (CBS 58)--We get some major relief from the mid-July heat and humidity courtesy of a cold front dropping down from the Upper Midwest into the afternoon.

At 9 am, temperatures in Milwaukee were hovering around 85 with heat indices near 90.  The dew point, telling us how much moisture's in the air, was in the 70s. That's why it feels so tropical.

The front itself could trigger a few showers or thunder showers.  Most of the region should stay dry.  Once the front passes, both temperatures and humidity will really start to fall.  In fact lows tonight will be in the 50s in spots! Our next chance of rain comes Thursday night with another storm system.  And as it stands now, we could see on/off showers and storms through the weekend.
