CHICAGO (CBS 58) -- A much-anticipated battle resumes Friday, July 24, as the Milwaukee Brewers and Chicago Cubs renew their rivalry on a pandemic-delayed opening day.

In Chicago, Wrigley Field's stands will be empty, but Brewers' fans still plan to gather safely to cheer on the Crew.

In Milwaukee, Stubby’s Gastropub is trying to make sure fans have a good spot to watch the season opener and in a safe way.

Fans can enjoy some riverfront real estate with six outdoor televisions, a cold beer, and a side of hand sanitizer. If you plan on going to watch a game, don’t forget your mask. You’ll need it until you get to you table.

Stubby's Owner Brad Todd said he's taking every precaution possible to make sure the spot can stay open all season.

"We kind of had a staff team meeting at the beginning of all this. Everybody has different views on everything happening in the world, and we kind of decided as a team that we really want to be the place that is kind of building a reputation for a safe place for everyone to be safe and comfortable," said Todd.

The Brewers-Cubs season opener is set for 6:10 p.m.
