MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Ninety miles in nine days. That is the goal for a group of people fighting for immigration reform in the United States.
Voces de la Frontera is leading a march from Milwaukee to Madison to demand citizenship for all. Marchers said on Sunday, June 20 that it is time to put pressure on the Biden Administration and Congress to make real change and erase the inequities that come with moving here from another country.
"I want people to know that this isn't just a one day thing that can just be done," Milwaukee Public Schools teacher Alondra Garcia, said. "That's why we're doing a nine day march, because it needs to be engrained in people's systems, minds, being that this is something that is important to all of us."
Marchers will stop in cities along the route before arriving at the capitol in Madison on June 29.
