CEDARBURG, Wis. (CBS 58) -- An 83-year-old Cedarburg veteran proved Tuesday he was not about to miss a chance to vote in an election when he was stuck without his car.
"I walked. That's what it meant to me. And I walked and I walked. And it was cold."
John Pinter's car hit a deer and was totaled.
Instead of making excuses not to vote, Pinter grabbed his cane and walked nearly a mile from his apartment to cast his ballot at Cedarburg's Community Center.
A GoFundMe has been created for Pinter to get him a new car.
