80 degree days record in jeopardy over the next week

It's shaping up to be a beautiful day across southeast Wisconsin today with plenty of sunshine and comfortable temps and humidity after yesterday's cold front moved through.

Highs will top out in the lower 70s today, but this seasonal mid-September air won't stick around for long. Temps rise back into the upper 70s to around 80 Thursday with 80s returning on Friday. A cold front will move through Friday night, dropping temps back into the 70s briefly on Saturday before 80s return into early next week.

We're keeping an eye on the 80 degree days record that stands at 80 days from 2010. Tuesday was Milwaukee's 75th day this year at 80 degrees or warmer, and we have a good shot of adding at least 4 more days to that total over the next week.
