70th Street railroad crossing in Wauwatosa closed as Canadian Pacific troubleshoots issue

CBS 58

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The City of Wauwatosa says the 70th Street railroad crossing is closed as of Monday night, Dec. 15.

They say Canadian Pacific Rail notified them that the crossing needed to be closed immediately while they try to fix a problem with the system connecting the track to the crossing signals.

The city says they are not sure how long the closure will last.

In a post shared on social media Monday evening, the city said those trying to access Hart Park may do so by traveling to the 68th Street and Honey Creek Parkway intersection, continuing west on Honey Creek Parkway to 70 Street, and from there, going north on 70th to the Hart Park driveway.

The city says the 70th Street closure will be between the Hart Park driveway and State Street.
