70-year-old woman struck by car in West Bend

WEST BEND, Wis. (CBS 58) --- A 70-year-old woman was struck by a car near Indiana and Kilbourn in West Bend Monday, Nov. 9.

The West Bend Police Department said it happened around 7:40 a.m. 

Police and the West Bend Fire Department responded to the scene and identified a 70-year-old woman with a head injury. Officials say she was conscious and alert.

The woman was crossing Indiana in the crosswalk when a 30-year-old man turning onto the road struck her. 

The woman was transported to the hospital.

The 30-year-old driver was cited for failure to yield right-of-way to pedestrian.
