CALEDONIA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Caledonia police and fire personnel responded to a motor vehicle crash earlier today, May 25, near County Highway V and Northwestern Ave. in Caledonia. 

A preliminary investigation showed a black Mercedes SUV traveling west on Northwestern Ave., when the vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a black Dodge pick-up truck towing a boat. 

The driver of the Dodge truck was a 62-year-old man from Racine. He was treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. 

The driver of the Mercedes was identified as a 70-year-old male from Milwaukee who died at the scene of the crash. 

The Wisconsin State Patrol Technical Reconstruction Unit was called to help with the investigation.
