Wisconsin survived a tough early season test at Haas Pavilion Monday night, knocking off a Cal team that had previously lost just once all season. The 68-56 win puts the Badgers at 11-1 on the season.

Nigel Hayes had one of his best games of the season, scoring a team-high 17 points but adding 13 rebounds as well. Sam Dekker and Frank Kaminsky added 14 points a piece for Wisconsin against a pesky Cal team that kept pace with the Badgers shot for shot in the second half.

Bo Ryan's Badgers shot 44 percent from the floor, but more importantly, connected on 94 percent of their free throws (17-of-18 from the line).
