60s today, but gradually cooling down into the weekend
Breezy southwest winds have helped warm temperatures into the upper 50s to low 60s across southeast Wisconsin early this afternoon.
This marks the 9th time this month temperatures have been warmer than 60° in Milwaukee, which is tied for 5th most 60°+ days on record.
In contrast to this year, Milwaukee never reached 60° in November in 2019 or 2018. In fact, the last two Novembers only had a combined 9 days where temps warmed into the 50s!
Unfortunately the 60s aren't here to stay. A cold front will move through the state tonight and turn our winds to the north, allowing for a gradual cool down into the 50s Friday and 40s for the weekend.
The good news is we'll stay dry for a majority of the weekend and winds won't be breezy. However, there's an isolated chance for a few light rain/snow showers Sunday afternoon.
While we don't have any more 60s in the extended forecast, there aren't any shots of bitter cold air on the way either. Download the CBS 58 Ready Weather App to see how warm we'll be on Thanksgiving.
