5 people hurt in Mt. Pleasant apartment fire

MT. PLEASANT, Wis. (CBS 58) – Five people were hurt in a Mount Pleasant apartment complex fire early Tuesday morning.

Authorities say the fire broke out at the complex near Oakes Rd. and Kinzie Ave. around 12:15 a.m.

One unit was destroyed in the fire. 10 people were displaced because of the water. The Red Cross is assisting those in need.

Damage is estimated at $100,000. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
