4 people injured in separate overnight shootings

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Four people were shot in Milwaukee in a six hour window overnight Tuesday, Aug. 9 through Wednesday, August 10. 

Two of the victims were shot while inside their homes as bullets entered through the exterior.

The first shooting happened around 9 p.m. Tuesday night. A 19-year-old Milwaukee woman was inside her home near 41st and Hadley when multiple rounds entered it from the exterior. She was transported to a local hospital where she is expected to survive. The circumstances leading up to the shooting are still under investigation, and investigators are looking for unknown suspects.

A separate shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday near 88th and Hampton Ave.  A 74-year-old Milwaukee man was also inside his home when he was struck by gunfire from outside. He was transported to a local hospital where he is expected to survive. The circumstances leading up to the shooting are still under investigation. Milwaukee police continue to seek unknown suspects. 

Around 1:50 a.m. near 71st and Carmen in Milwaukee.  A 34-year-old Milwaukee woman sustained non-fatal injuries after being struck by gunfire. She was transported to a local hospital where she is expected to survive.  Milwaukee police continue to seek unknown suspects.  

A fourth shooting happened around 2:46 a.m. Milwaukee police are investigating a non-fatal shooting that occurred on Wednesday around 2:46 a.m near 35th and Concordia. The victim, an 18-year-old Milwaukee man, sustained non-fatal injuries after being struck by gunfire. He presented at a local hospital where he is expected to survive. Milwaukee police are still looking for unknown suspects.
