34-year-old man in serious condition after shooting outside of a Fond du Lac bar

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (CBS 58) --- A 34-year-old man is in serious but stable condition after being shot outside of a Fond du Lac bar on Sunday, March 28.

Fond du Lac police say they had officers with an increased presence around multiple taverns for closing time. Shortly after 2 a.m., an officer outside a bar near Western and Military observed a physical altercation.

Police say, within moments the officer heard several gun shots and located a 34-year-old Fond du Lac man with gunshot wounds. The officer immediately began life saving measures.

According to officials, paramedics arrived on scene and the victim was ultimately taken to the hospital.

The victim is in serious but stable condition, officials say.

Fond du Lac police say the shooting remains under investigation. There are currently no suspects.
