A side-by-side residential building on West Fond du Lac Avenue and North Bourbon Street, was severely damaged by fire Sunday evening and several people were displaced by the blaze. The fire was reported around 7:20 PM.
The Milwaukee Fire Department said the fire was contained to the first floor of the two story-building. Firefighters were on scene for about 90 minutes.
Damage to the building is estimated at $300,000 and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
No injuries were reported.
