MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --Police are searching for whoever pulled the trigger in a shooting that injured a 3-year-old child.
It happened near 34th and Auer just before 11 p.m. Sunday night, May 11.
Police say the toddler was rushed to the hospital, and thankfully, is expected to be okay.
Neighbors tell us they're surprised this happened in their neighborhood and are raising concerns about gun violence.
"We are kind of a close-knit community on this block," said a neighbor. "We speak to each other, we look out for each other, so for this to happen amongst each other, we need to really, really, and I am going to say 'really' again, get together as a community to stop the gun violence. Please, Milwaukee, put the guns down. We want to live!"
MPD says they are looking for suspects.
