3 Shootings happen in 20 minutes overnight in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE- Milwaukee police are investigating after three shootings happen in just 20 minutes overnight in the city.


The first happened around 11:45 p.m. Saturday in the 2400 block of W. Melford Ave. A 37-year-old woman was injured in what police believe be to be an accidental shooting. She is expected to recover.


The second shooting happened in the 1500 block of S. 22nd Street at about 11:50 p.m. A 40-year-old male was taken to a local hospital in grave condition. The motive of the shooting is unknown and there are no suspects currently in custody.


The third happened about 12:05 a.m. in the 1700 block of N. 35th Street. A 24-year-old man was injured in what appears to be a robbery related shooting. He was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. There are no suspects in custody at this time.
