3 Milwaukee beaches reopen to swimmers after temporary closures

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Bradford Beach, South Shore Beach and McKinley Beach are back open to the public following a combined sewer overflow.

The City of Milwaukee Health Department updated its swimming status page to list all three sites as open as of 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 6.

The beaches initially closed Tuesday, Aug. 4. The health department manages daily water sampling and microbe analysis at the three public sites from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
